A friend of mine turned me onto this site.. I have been thinking about
lighting up my bike but don't know to much about it... The site below has
NEON and LED.. My question is which is better/more reliable. Both of these
come with a "lifetime if it burns it gets replaced" type warranty but I
don't want to be changing out neons every other ride or two... Anyone have
any experience with NEON they can share?

Why?

My friend has his Road King lit up (when parked) and it always draws a
crowd...

Yeah neon is for diners and Vegas. On a bike it looks like shit!

His answer might have helped you realize that neon and led doodahs are
pimp devices. I think you'll find that the majority of the patrons here
are much more interested in *riding* their bikes than showing them or
posing next to the bar with them.

You top-posted. I fixed it for you free this time, and I'll buy you a
beer while you go read this www.rmhfaq.com

Yeah, I accidentally broke a Coors Light neon sign (sorry Snarl) with
a pool cue at a bar one time. Was graciously asked to get the fuck
out immediately.

Here's my ?? I have seen on a few bikes, and in adverts something I
think are called "Sparkys" They are like a neon chamber between your
plug wire and the plug. What I want to know is, if anyone has tried or
uses them, do they (negatively)affect performance at all? I know from my
vacuum tube experience that neon passes current, but at the same time it
drops voltage.. so, what's the deal?
Thanks,
Paul

You meant to just bounce the cue off of it? <g>
Like they're gonna believe *that*.

Quit top posting. As for the neon, you might not find what you're looking
for here, guady parts for the sake of gaudiness doesn't attract a lot of
positive attention in these parts, and rightly so.

Don't know about the neon but a year or so American Iron mag (I think)
outfitted a RoadKing (which I have) with LED's from a commpany called Adjure
<a rel="nofollow" style='text-decoration: none;' href="http://www.adjureinc.com/." target="_blank">http://www.adjureinc.com/.</a> I just did the rear turn signals thinking I'd see
how bright they were. Wow! It''s a whole cluster of led's that actually plug
into the existing bulb socket. Expensive though at about 100 buck a pair.
And I also asked for red lenses instead of the amber since I bought a 50$
modual (plugs in under the seat) that makes the turn signals both running
lights and break lights. These things are bright as hell. It makes the
existing tail light look so dim by comparision (and I've got a 25 buck HD
led bulb in the tail light which was a total waste of money). You can also
spend 100 bucks for one of their tail lights but I won't. Just having the
led brake/signals/running lights are more than good. Again, these things are
bright. I don't need any more lighting on the ass end as far as I'm
concerned.

Hey... Hey... HEY!

I know at least two bikes here in SoCal that don't have those lights
set up on 'em. They both happen to be MINE, but that's beside the
fact... Smile.
